The 7 Convictions That Shape Our Work
Vine158 stands on seven nonnegotiable convictions that shape how we live, lead, and practice dentistry with excellence.
Every community is built on something. Some are built on productivity. Some are built on ambition. Some are built on profit.
Vine158 is built on conviction.
We believe great practices are ultimately shaped by great leaders, and great leaders are shaped by the convictions that govern their lives.
Dentistry can reward skill, discipline, and hard work. But flourishing in life requires something deeper: alignment with truth.
For that reason, Vine158 is anchored in seven convictions that guide how we live, lead, and steward the opportunities entrusted to us.
The Word of God & The Souls of People
Scripture is our authority, and souls are our priority.
We order our teaching, our counsel, and our community life around Scripture, not as a badge, but as the living authority that shapes what we value and how we care for people.
Clinical skill matters; souls matter more. That conviction keeps our work grounded in eternal purpose, not merely quarterly outcomes.
Live in Christ, Die to Self
Our old life is gone; our new life is hidden with Christ.
Colossians 3:1–4
The dentist's ego is a quiet thief of clarity. We practice a different pattern: humility, repentance, and daily dependence, so leadership becomes service, not swagger.
When self dies, decisions become steadier, teams become safer, and the practice becomes a healthier place to work and receive care.
Walk in Step With the Lord
Apart from Him, we can do nothing.
John 15:5
We refuse the myth of the self-made doctor. Fruitfulness in practice flows from abiding, prayer, obedience, and a leadership posture that listens before it lectures.
Walking in step means our calendars, budgets, and hard conversations are all brought under the same Lordship.
Love Your Spouse, Love Yourself
Leadership begins in the home.
Ephesians 5:28
A practice cannot be healthier than the marriage behind it. We speak plainly about priorities, boundaries, and the hidden costs of success without a home that feels safe and loved.
Loving yourself here is not selfishness, it is stewardship of the body, mind, and spirit God gave you to lead well.
Stay Unentangled
Run the race unencumbered.
Hebrews 12:1–2
Dentistry pulls hard on time, attention, and conscience. We help doctors identify entanglements, hidden partnerships, unhealthy patterns, divided loyalties, so they can run with endurance.
Freedom is not doing whatever you want; it is being free to do what you were made for.
No Debt
“Owe no one anything, except to love.”
Romans 13:8
We counsel financial clarity and disciplined stewardship, not anxiety, and not bondage to lenders, lifestyles, or expectations that steal peace.
The goal is not mere solvency; it is freedom to love people generously without being owned by what you owe.
Be Transformed
Leadership grows as the leader grows. God renews the mind, and transformed leaders influence others toward what is good and true.
Romans 12:1–2
We are not interested in polishing tactics on an unchanged heart. Lasting change in a practice begins with renewal in the leader, humility, courage, and wisdom that others can feel.
Transformation is slow, honest work. It is also the only kind of leadership that lasts.
These are not slogans.
They are practices.
